John Barley established Barley Insurances Limited in June 1998, with the belief that a niche market existed for a company founded on the principle of providing each customer with an insurance portfolio specifically tailored to its needs. John has worked in insurance for over 20 years, including six years in London in marine insurance for a Lloyds broker. John joined Hogg Robinson in the marine department and as the company developed over the years, with name changes to Bain Dawes, Bain Clarkson and then Westrays, his role became an all encompassing one. His work included developing new insurance products and programmes - incorporating the full spectrum of life, superannuation, financial investment, fire and general, marine and other industry specific products - that added value for clients. Barley Insurance has Professional Indemnity Insurance cover and, as a member of the IBANZ, utilises a dedicated premium account for the security of your funds. We underwrite with New Zealand's principal underwriters, and provide specialist services through our associated broking houses for any advanced level expertise your organisation requires.
